So first let’s start with Snapdeal purely Indian company.
Snapdeal is one of the India’s largest e-commerce company which was started by Indramani Shukla and Rohit Bansal in February 2010 and within a few years today it is at its peak.
Snapdeal was first started as an offline couponing businesses named moneysaver in 2007 in which they were started selling business coupons and with few months they have sold around 15k coupons.Seeing their business growing this high rate they decided to take it online but for this need a capital to start their online business.During this time they met their investor vani kohli whose venture capital firm finally decided to invest in their business idea.
Business was doing great but they want wanted to do something big in this online business marketplace.
Alibaba was doing great business in China and holding a huge marketplace in Chinese economy.So getting inspired from the Alibaba they also wanted to do similar business.At that time e-bay was the only online market in India.They took this risk that was totally worth it.Till now Snapdeal has received 11 rounds of funding.And is Now a Billion dollar company.

Where does snapdeal lose its charm?
Snapdeal Acquires so many startups which turned out to be a loss.Snapdeal acquires the company which had no relations with the e-commerce .so because of which it was not possible for the Snapdeal to expand its marketplace, unlike the Flipkart which acquires other e-commerce business like Myntra and Jabong which helps them to expand their online market presence.
Snapdeal was also not able not expand its business in other product.

In July 2007, Flipkart offers Snapdeal an amount of $700-$800 million dollars , but Snapdeal rejected its deal as they wanted a sum of minimum $1billion cash
According to the recent news, Flipkart makes a revised offer of around $950 million to Snapdeal .
Flipkart is a well-known e-commerce business in India.It has also an amazing story.Flipkart started with just an initial investment of 4 lakh and now today its value is $2.2 billion.It has totally changed the way people were shopping in India and bring the revolution in the online business market.
Flipkart is founded by an IIT graduates Sachin Bansal with the computer science degree.After graduating from the IIT he started with Amazon.Sachin bansal and binny bansal study together in IIT and then met at Amazon and then they decided to staIndia’sa’s first e-commerce company.First they started with selling books online and sometimes they delivers the products to the customers by themselves in their scooter.By making and learning from their mistakes they started growing enormously.They decided to expand their business and started selling other products also .
